A percentage such as “50% off” compares the current price with the listed regular price. It does not by itself show how the price compares with previous sales.
Why the percentage needs context
Regular prices may change, and some works are discounted frequently. Two works with the same discount rate can therefore have very different price histories.
Using an observed lowest price
- Current price equals the recorded low: it matches the lowest level observed since tracking began.
- Current price is above the recorded low: the site has previously observed a lower price.
- Current price is below the recorded low: the current observation establishes a new low in this dataset.
“Lowest price” on R18Deals always means the lowest price within this site's observation period. It is not a claim about the work's complete price history before tracking began.
